Description:
This
project is a new elementary school for Pre-Kindergarten
through Grade 2 on the former Brookview Local Park
site at 1100 Corliss Street in East Silver Spring.
It is intended to provide needed capacity to alleviate
growing student enrollments at Burnt Mills and Cresthaven
elementary schools. The site is bordered by I-495
on the north and a community pool on the west. Additional
classrooms and a gymnasium are add alternates that
could be implemented in the future to increase the
capacity of the school from 541 to 640.
