Description:
The
college is beginning a process of evaluating long
term campus needs, possible building types, and
possible locations. Possible new facilities could
include a learning center/library, a performing
arts center, and a wellness/recreation center. During
2002 the college met with an advisory committee
that was appointed by the Director of M-NCPPC and
the Mayor of the City of Takoma Park. The advisory
committee provided a forum for discussion of the
college proposals. The college has not established
a timetable for completing specific building plans.

for Public Participation:
To be determined.
Planning Board Review Process & Case Number:
If the college seeks to construct a new building
they will be required to apply for a record plat.
Approval of the plat would require consideration
of traffic impacts and points of access. Requirements
for stormwater management would be reviewed by the
City of Takoma Park. Because of the religious affiliation
of the college, they will not be required to obtain
approval for a special exception. There may be other
approvals required by either the County or the City.
