Description
An Optional Method application was approved for a new project on the south side of Ripley Street in the Ripley/South Silver Spring Overlay District. The property is zoned CBD-2 and is currently occupied by several light industrial uses. The proposed 306,114 square foot residential building height will include 318 dwelling units including 48 MPDU's and 7,46 square feet of commercial space; the maximum building height would be 200’. Ripley Street and Dixon Avenue will be improved along the project’s frontage. Ripley Street extension will also have streetscape treatment(per Silver Spring Streetscape Standard) installed on the west side of the Ripley Street extension. The Metropolitan Branch Trail will run along the western edge of the property, next to the railroad tracks.
