Overview

The Shady Grove Advisory Committee mission is to review public and private development within the Approved and Adopted (2006) Shady Grove Sector Plan area. Members of the Advisory Committee reflect a broad range of residents and property owners in Derwood. This Advisory Committee is another example of citizen led forums created by the Montgomery County Council and Planning Board to review and guide new development. Pamela Lindstrom serves as the Chairperson of the Advisory Committee.

Objectives

The Montgomery County Council in January 2006 created the Advisory Committee to:

  • Support the redevelopment of the Shady Grove Sector Plan area.
  • Monitor implementation of the Plan recommendations
  • Assure that the recommendations contained in the Plan are followed and
