Current Economic Forces report (2007)
The 2007 Economic Forces report examines changes in the County's main economic drivers between 2005 and 2006.
Key findings from this report include the following:
- Job growth slowed in Montgomery County due mainly to declines in consumer-related industries such as hotels and merchandise stores.
- The commercial space market witnessed stable rents despite rising vacancy rates.
- Although the housing market has softened, single-family attached and detached homes in the County remain out of reach for many median-income households.
