This 95-acre park includes an outdoor and indoor swimming pool operated by the Montgomery Recreation Department, and tennis courts, ball fields, a playground, and small lake.

The Martin Luther King Jr. Swim Center indoor pool is operated by the Montgomery County Department of Recreation. It includes an 8-lane, 25-yard pool with movable bulkhead, allowing for a separate diving area with 1 and 3 meter boards areas. A separate teach pool with shallow water provides easy access. The complex also has 2 spas, a weight and exercise room, all-purpose room, locker and shower facilities. Contact the facility for hours, fees and program information.

Martin Luther King Jr. Outdoor Pool

The Martin Luther King Jr. Outdoor Pool is operated by the Montgomery County Department of Recreation. The facility features a 6-lane, 50 meter L-shaped pool with an 8-lane, 25 meter course into the diving area. A separate leisure pool has a shallow water lagoon with slides and water play features, surrounded by a circular ‘lazy river’ for inner tubes. Courts

The 95-acre recreational park has courts for tennis, basketball, and volleyball, available for use by the general public on a first-come, first-served, basis.

Ball Fields

The park has fields for baseball, softball, soccer, football and one practice field, all available for use by permit only. For information, applications, and guidelines for use, contact Park Permits.

Other Park Features

Visitors will enjoy the accessible Adventure Playground and picnic areas. Use of the picnic area is first-come, first served. To permit local, regional and group picnic sites located in other M-NCPPC parks in Montgomery County, please see the listings under Picnic Shelters.

Fishing is allowed at the park’s lake, and anglers must follow State of Maryland Fishing License requirements.

The hard surface trails within the park connect to the Paint Branch Stream Trail, making the park a good starting point for exploring this natural area.
