Special Project Weed Warriors Polygonum perfoliatum, also known as Mile-a-minute, is a very invasive plant

Special Project Weed Warriors is the newest component to the Natural Resources Stewardship Vegetation Management program. This program enables citizens to learn about and work on invasive plants in their parks without making the commitment to become full-fledged Certified Weed Warriors.

Special volunteer workdays, under the supervision of a staff specialist, will take place throughout the year—on weekends and weekdays—in small and large parks throughout Montgomery County.

Come out and help us and see if more intensive non-native invasive work is your cup of tea. We will give you a brief orientation at each worksite and then let you get to work.
