Are you looking for a unique way to celebrate your child's birthday?

Meadowside Nature Center coloring bookA 2 1/2 hour party at the Nature Center includes:

  • 1 hour interpretive program presented by the park naturalist (includes craft).
  • A Meadowside Nature Center 46-page coloring book and crayons for all participants. Learn while coloring the Animals of Meadowside book!
  • Free time to explore the nature center

NOTES:

  • Parties may be booked six months in advance!
  • All age groups are welcome (20 children limit).
  • Piñatas are not allowed.
  • Only mylar balloons may be used at the Nature Center.

  3. Birthday party themes to choose from include:
    Birthday Party decoration
  • Scutes and Scales: Reptiles and Amphibians
    Suggested Ages: 3 and up.
    Discover the world of reptiles and amphibians by meeting some of Meadowside’s toads, snakes, and turtles and then make a craft!
  • Bugs Rule!
    Suggested Ages: 3 and up.
    Explore insects and bugs by meeting some of Meadowside’s live bugs, then guests make a crafty critter of their own!
  • Birds of Prey
    Suggested Ages: 6 and up.
    Learn about the amazing adaptations of raptors and explore these birds up close along our Raptor Walkway. Participants do an owl pellet dissection to learn about raptor feeding habits!
  • A Pioneer Child's LIfe
    Ages: 6 and up.
    Take your party back in time to the 1800’s and explore the life of a pioneer child! Discover how people lived, worked, and played through hands-on activities, games, and a craft!

    NOTE: Payment in full is expected at time of reservation. Credit cards are accepted.
  • $175 (with program)
  • $125 (no program)
  1. Parties are held only on Saturdays:
  • 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
  • 1 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Party schedule example

An example for your child’s party might be:

  • 10:00 a.m. Parents/guardians arrive and set up (may decorate)
  • 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Nature Program
  • 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Have party, eat cake, open presents, explore the Nature Center, and clean up
  • 12:30 p.m. Depart from the Nature Center
