New at the center!
The sign for our wildlife meadow, located next to the visitor center, has been installed. Volunteers have planted flowers in the meadow & in the beds around the center to attract the buterflies & humingbirds. Please stop by to see their beautiful work.
Visitor Center Hours
April 1 - Sept. 30, 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. daily
Oct. 1 - March 31, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. (Saturday and Sunday ONLY)
Park Hours
March 1 - Oct 31, 6 a.m. to official sunset
Nov 1 - February 28, 7 a.m. to official sunset
NOTES:
- Interpretive programs are offered year-round for families and individuals of all ages, from preschoolers to seniors. In addition, during the school year, educational programs are offered to schools, home-schoolers, scouts, and other organized groups.To reach the Naturalist Staff call 301-972-5991.
- Our Pontoon Boat is back in the water ,check the spring/summer guide for upcoming programs.

Related Cancellations Notice: During inclement weather, Nature Facilities follow Montgomery County Public School closures, delayed openings and early releases. If school is closed for inclement conditions, all children's programs are cancelled. Cancellation of Adult programs is determined on a case-by-case basis. Please call the nature facility to check on adult program status, 301-972-5991.

Oatlands House & Garden Tour

Join us on a van trip to Leesburg, Va. to tour the Oatlands Historic House & Gardens, a National Historic Landmark. after our tour we'll provide a picnic lunch on the grounds. Wear comfortable walking shoes. FOBH $30/$35.
